The 2019 Lobbying Summer Academy will take place from Monday, 22 July, to Thursday, 25 July, in Bilbao -Spain.
The aim of the Lobbying Summer Academy is to give to the participants a deeper understanding of advocacy and new forms of participatory politics.
The Academy brings together a wide community of stakeholders, ranging from corporate lobbyists (both in-house and consultants), campaigners, academics/researchers, activists, foundations representatives, entrepreneurs, students, journalists, elected officials as well as public servants interested in new forms of influence, mobilization and lobbying.
From the program, the lesson “GAMIFIED ADVOCACY: HOW TO DRAW A GAMIFIED ADVOCACY PLAN” is scheduled for Tuesday, 23 July, at 14:30 pm.
Some points will be discussed: To what extent the systems of rules and rewards found in games can be used to correspond to real world action? Is gamified advocacy (long-term) effective? What makes a successful gamified advocacy strategy?
Moving from the analysis of both successful and unsuccessful efforts by pressure groups to ‘gamify’ their strategies, participants will be engaged into implementing game elements into a strategy of advocacy.
