The lack of transparency in the lobbying sector threatens the quality of the laws and favors corruption and conflict of interests.
The Association “Riparte il Futuro” with representatives of the institutions, the third sector and the technology industry, organizes a conference on the 12th of March (starting form 12 am in Rome “Centro Studi Americani) with the aim of understanding if the use of new technologies can help to fill this transparency deficit.
The speakers will analyze the influence that civic technologies exert on the inclusion, participation and transparency of decision-making processes. The event will also be an opportunity to discuss the actions necessary to regulate the sector, overcome once and for all the legislative immobility in the field of lobbying and answer to these main question: is the virtuous combination of civic activism and technology capable of affecting the quality of public decisions? What are the concrete benefits for citizens and civil society organizations? What are the regulatory tools to make decision-making more transparent?
